    Default Channel Q Expands To Five New Markets - 105.9 KALC-HD2 Denver

    Entercom is continuing the roll-out of its LGBTQ+ Talk/Dance “Channel Q” brand to HD subchannels in five additional markets and bringing it to AM in San Francisco.

    The network, which will continue to be be heard on 97.3 KLLC-HD2 San Francisco also will be heard on 1550 KGMZ replacing the simulcast of Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ-FM. KGMZ joins 103.1 KQPS Palm Desert/Palm Springs and 103.3 K277AE Seattle as primary signals carrying the programming.

    The five new HD markets for Channel Q are:

    103.7 KVIL-HD3 Dallas
    105.9 KALC-HD2 Denver
    96.5 KRBZ-HD2 Kansas City
    98.1 KXSN-HD3 San Diego
    94.7 WIAD-HD2 Washington DC
    These additions bring the brand to being heard on HD subchannels or FM in nineteen markets.

    Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., announced today the expansion of LGBTQ+ Talk Radio Network CHANNEL Q to Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, and Washington D.C., and an additional station in San Francisco. CHANNEL Q is the premiere LGBTQ+ Talk Radio Network dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. The network brings the latest in LGBTQ+ news and information, pop culture and new music to listeners on air in a total of 19 local markets and via the RADIO.COM app nationwide.

    “The expansion of CHANNEL Q to six new stations is a significant step as we strive towards further inclusion throughout our country,” said Jeff Federman, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Southern California. “We are proud to expand our company’s efforts in providing a voice and representation to the LGBTQ+ community just in time for Pride celebrations nationwide.”

    Listeners can now tune in to CHANNEL Q on the below stations:

    Denver: Alice 105.9 HD2 (KALC-FM)
    Kansas City: 96.5 The Buzz HD2 (KRBZ-FM)
    San Diego: SUNNY 98.1 HD3 (KXSN-FM)
    San Francisco: 1550 AM (KGMZ-AM)
    Washington D.C.: 947 The Drive HD2 (WIAD-FM)

    To kick off the launch of CHANNEL Q, the network will host live events in both coasts. In San Francisco, 1550 AM kicked off the festivities with “Drop the Subject” co-hosts and Bay Area residents Ally Johnson and Jarret Hill at Brewcade in the world-famous Castro District on June 2. The show will broadcast live from the 1550 AM studios on June 3 and 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT. CHANNEL Q is also available on Alice @ 97.3 HD2 (KLLC-FM) in San Francisco.

    In Washington D.C, “Dumb Gay Politics + Everything Else,” hosted by Julie Goldman and Brandy Howard, will broadcast live all week from the Entercom streetside studio in the nation’s capital, including a special broadcast to kick off Pride Month on June 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. The broadcast will also be streamed on RADIO.COM.

    CHANNEL Q’s resident DJ Alex D. will represent CHANNEL Q and support Denver Pride by spinning music at two festival parties on June 15 and 16 from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. MT.
