Colorado State University and Learfield's Rams Sports Properties, have announced that Brian Roth will take over the play-by-play role for CSU's football and men's basketball broadcasts, and serve as host of the Rams' coaches shows. Roth, who served as color commentator for the past three years, returns to the play-by-play chair he held for three years previously, and will be in his 17th year as part of CSU's radio broadcasts in 2016-17.

"Brian Roth has been an integral part of the radio broadcasts of Colorado State football and basketball games for nearly two decades," said Director of Athletics Joe Parker. "We are excited to have Brian return to the play-by-play position for football and men's basketball broadcasts, and to host our weekly coaches' radio shows. He is not only a talented broadcaster but an important asset to our athletics programs with his proven relationships in the Colorado State University community."

In Roth's first season back in the play-by-play chair the Rams also will have a new home on the radio dial. It was announced in April that Fort Collins-based Townsquare/Northern Colorado's KARS-FM (Rock 102.9) Fort Collins will serve as the Rams' flagship station, while Denver-area affiliate Mile High Sports KDCO-AM & FM will carry all football and men's basketball games, as well as select women's basketball games.

"Brian is talented, and he knows the ins and outs of the Rams' programs like no one else," said Rams Sports Properties' General Manager Dani Belinski. "He is a perfect choice to call games again for the Rams, and we're excited to have him. Not only is he a native, he has an undeniable history with Colorado State and is eager to resume play-by-play duties."
