KARS-F (Rock 102.9)/Fort Collins, KDCO-A/Denver To Air Colorado State U. Sports
From All Access:
LEARFIELD's RAMS SPORTS PROPERTIES has inked TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Classic Rock KARS-F (ROCK 102.9)/FORT COLLINS, CO to be the flagship for COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY football, men's basketball, and women's basketball for the next three years. In addition, MILE HIGH SPORTS Sports KDCO-A/DENVER will also air football, men's basketball, and select women's basketball games over the same period. Games bumped from KARS due to schedule conflicts will air on Alternative KMAX-F (94.3 THE X)/FORT COLLINS.
“We’re excited to be partnering with TOWNSQUARE MEDIA NORTHERN COLORADO and MILE HIGH SPORTS to deliver our game broadcasts to our fans along the Front Range and across the state of COLORADO,” said CSU Athletics Dir. JOE PARKER. “Quality programming of our athletics events is key to sharing the CSU Athletics experience, and I’m encouraged to have two trusted stations providing our game broadcasts and broadening our engagement.”
“TOWNSQUARE MEDIA in NORTHERN COLORADO is excited to be teaming up with ROCK 102.9 to be the flagship station for COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY Athletics,” said TOWNSQUARE Market Pres. PAT KELLEY. “We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with the good folks at LEARFIELD’s RAMS SPORTS PROPERTIES. Go RAMS!”

You know? That is very interesting? I know KARS is owned by Fort Collins/ Layfette Trust, so how in the world did they get permission to even touch KARS? I figured they were not allowed to even touch the programming let alone the jingles to add to that station? This is a first since it was sold to them? CSU Football on 102.9 KARS? Well at least people in Wyoming (laramie and across the 1-80 corridor) can hear it.
