Ron Mitchell, longtime Channel 9 reporter, dies at 75

Ron Mitchell, a longtime presence on Channel 9, died Wednesday at his home. He was 75. He worked for KUSA from 1969 to 1995 after starting at the radio sister station KBTR.

A notice on the 9News website included clips from Mitchell’s reporting past. He was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Colorado Hall of Fame in 2012.

Earlier this month he attended the retirement party for Mark Koebrich at KUSA.
