    Default KOA TOWER DARK

    Just drove thru Parker and the KOA tower is completely dark, no lights. Wonder if anyones around at IHeart to even notice?

    someone must have called someone, cause its back lit up tonight, but all night Friday night, it was completely dark.

    They do have technicians that I am sure get a call about these kind of stuff! I am also sure they have noticed in the station alone that they were not broadcasting on that tower!
    Most likely the station Manager called the techs to fix the problem, and I am sure they got a call from the FCC about the matter.

    when I worked in radio in the midwest we had a tower light alarm that would call the studio if the tower lights were out. We took it very seriously (1169 foot tower) and we called engineering immediately. Engineering would then immediately call FAA and go to the tower site to check on the problem. I wonder if there are still alarms for tower ligts out that lets the station know?
