Default Colorado Christmas At 107.9 Debuts

With translator K231BQ 94.1 FM (Smokin' 94-1) being sold to iHeart (iHeart will take over the programming of it, carrying KOA 850 AM next week), iHeart's translator for KOA K300CP 107.9 FM in Denver has switched to an all Christmas music format billing itself as "Colorado Christmas at 107.9". The 107.9 FM translator is picking up the signal from KRFX 103.5 FM HD-2.

Interesting enough, Smokin is still on the air as of 4:32pm.. I would think if Iheart was really going to kill off Smokin that the stream would be down.. Now I hear the actual Gary right now..
So this is strange, we all know it has been sold, so this really makes no sense what so ever? I was not expecting to hear Gary anymore, in fact I was expecting to hear KOA actually on this stream?

iHeart isn't taking 94.1 FM over until November 1st. So Marc Paskin (aka Gary) is probably enjoying what time he has left with his baby. It could be that the smokin' format will continue on 1550 AM since it isn't sold yet (and on its web site), but I haven't heard anything about its future...

I am still surprised that Marc would even consider selling the repeater at 94.1 to Iheart. I know he suffered a near death experience that put him in a wheel chair, and didn't consider asking if BO
would like to take over the station and own it?
Since Marc is rich, i would think this would have been the last thing on his mind on selling it to that greedy company! It was like he was forced into doing so? We all know that they filed a complaint
on 94.1 this past summer for some reason? To do this is just wrong!
Marc hasn't filed to silence 1550 am at all, so I would think he would keep Smokin on 1550 at least. As I heard on friday, that the music well keep going until the end of today. Still doesn't make any
    sense at all.
