From The Denver Post:
The list of 2015 Heartland Chapter Emmy nominations is long — 57 pages’ worth — and includes the usual TV suspects along with more recent competitors (namely, The Denver Post). The winners will be announced at a gala July 18. (The chapter covers a five-state region, including Denver, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita, Omaha, Colorado Springs, Lincoln, Topeka, Grand Junction, Cheyenne and North Platte).
In the category of overall excellence, the nominees are KCNC under general manager Walt DeHaven; KWTV Oklahoma City, under general manager Rob Krier; KUSA under president and general manager Mark Cornetta, The Denver Post under president/general manager Gregory Moore.
The journalistic enterprise category is a race among three KUSA entries and Justin Joseph’s investigation of Ashley Fallis’ death for KDVR.
For investigative reporting the contenders are KDVR’s Christopher Halsne, KCEC’s Mario Galarza, KMGH’s John Ferrugia, KUSA’s Melissa Blasius-Nuanez and KUSA’s Jeremy Jojola.
Note Univision’s KCEC in Denver is a prominent multiple nominee.
