Santa 107.3 Launches In Fort Collins
From Radio Insight:
For the second time in three years iHeartMedia is launching a translator signal in Fort Collins, CO with Christmas music. Today iHeart launched “Santa 107.3” K297AK Loveland, CO rebroadcasting 97.9 KXBG-HD2 Cheyenne, WY. The translator is owned by Mountain Community Translators and had been rebroadcasting Christian “Pilgrim Radio” 88.7 KDNR South Greeley, WY. After the holidays it appears the translator will segue to AC or Classic Hits as Sunny1073.com was registered along with Santa1073.com. If AC, such a move would position 107.3 up against Townsquare Media’s “Tri 102.5” KTRR. In November 2012, then Clear Channel launched 94.9 K235BT as “Christmas 94.9“. After a few months as “Fox Sports 94.9“, K235BT segued to AAA “Radio 94.9” in May 2013.

So we got 2 now christmas stations
So now for Northern Colorado, we got TRi-102.5 and now this new 107.3 as Santa FM. Which used to be a repeater for KGCO. I wonder how they got this away from the other owner?

HAAAA heee..Wow, really? SUNNY again? So once upon a time ago when 97.9 was in the old studios off of laporte ave, it was once called Sunny 97.9, then it became my97.9 before they got their new studios out there at Crossroad blvd. Now, they are trying it again, but this time on 107.3, fascinating indeed. They are going to try to compete against Tri-102. Well since now that Tri went Syndicated, I am hoping this other version of Sunny, well be LIVE and local. That is where they well shine over Tri-102.5. I just can't believe they are going to bring back Sunny again though, what a hoot.

So at Midnight any guesses on what 107.3 well become? I was told by another person that works over that, Mark loves to be a kidder and throw people off on what a station well become?
So it might be SUnny (which would be odd), or something else? So any guesses?

Let's welcome as we thought as it is.. Santa 107.3 as we thought became SUNNY 107.3 (once again) competing against Tri-102. Oh boy, this is going to be interesting to see this war again.
Let's see Sunny was once on 97.9 FM, when it was on Laporte Ave, and lost badly against TrI-102.5. So has things changed now? Let's see..
