CPT12 election series to feature East High debaters

As part of its election year coverage plans, CPT12 (KBDI Channel 12) will feature students from Denver’s East High School Speech and Debate team, working both sides of various Colorado ballot issues.
“Both Sides of the Story” will premiere Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. on Channel 12. CBS4, the station’s longtime partner on election coverage, will loan Alan Gionet as anchor for the hour.
Three of the statewide ballot issues will be debated, including the initiatives regarding GMO Labeling, the expansion of Horse Track Gaming and School Board Open Meetings. The programs will be replayed on Sundays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, leading up to live election night coverage in conjunction with CBS4, on Nov. 4, 7-10 p.m.
