Default KDVR Fox 31 Accidentally Shows Picture Of Penis During Morning Show

During coverage this morning about the KOMO-TV Seattle traffic helicopter crash, KDVR Fox 31's Good Day Colorado accidentally showed a pic of a penis.

It appears they were using Twitter to show pictures of the crash and whoever was working the computer was just randomly clicking ones that users had posted under the search, "KOMO" and/or "COMO".

They got a "space needle" of another kind and you can see the anchors react as producers quickly cut back to them after the penis was shown.

Will Rob you would need to remove that video, since it is copyrighted from the wrong company.
Darn I missed it! LOL but must have been quite a shocker! geez.

It appears that KDVR is now trying to get all of the copies of the video removed from the internet under a copyright claim.

DeadSpin still has it on their site... for now.

    From The Denver Post: http://www.denverpost.com/breakingne...ecent-air-goof

KDVR will apologize/explain indecent on-air goof

Clearly, it wasn't such a "Good Day" on KDVR.

Attempting to display a photo from the Seattle crash of a news helicopter, Fox31 accidentally showed an X-rated shot from a laptop in the control room.

Deadspin posted the video, in which can be observed the gasps and hands flying-to-mouths of members of the "Good Day Colorado" morning team as anchor Kirk Yuhnke vamps.

"We'll just ignore that. And so, a lot of people following this on Twitter," he says.

Fox31 News Director Ed Kosowski released this statement:

"While reporting breaking news about the crash of the KOMO-TV helicopter in Seattle, Fox 31 Denver accidentally broadcast an offensive photo while scrolling live through a Twitter feed of pictures from the crash scene. The photo was mistakenly broadcast by our control room. It did not come from the tablet many viewers saw being used by one of our anchors. We apologize for the inadvertent broadcast of the image and we are taking immediate steps to prevent such an accident from happening again."

Kosowski declined to comment about any punitive action against employees, saying, "That's a personnel matter."

In the video, which went viral Tuesday, the on-air team reacts, but no one offers an immediate apology for the inappropriate image witnessed.

Yuhnke joined the Fox31 morning team last spring from KNXV in Phoenix, paired with former KCNC anchor Brooke Wagner and joined by meteorologist Jennifer Broome and traffic anchor Ken Clark, who can be seen reacting to the gaffe with horror, then forging ahead with the show as if nothing happened.

wait, they can freely lift (almost) anything from the interweb, but once they offend the public with it, it's theirs?
    what a world.

    Video below.

Update: A short time ago, we shared a video of a very strange Denver TV moment: a clip from Fox31's Good Day Colorado this morning in which coverage of a helicopter crash in Seattle was interrupted by a series of iPad images that included an impossible-to-ignore shot of a penis.
A short time after our post went live, the video was pulled down. However, we managed to grab some screen captures to give you a sense of what you may have missed -- and blurred the key one to make it not quite so NSFW.

The fifteen-second clip, which a YouTube user captured off his television, began with an image from the crash:

Then, the cursor can be seen moving -- and a short time later, images began to go past. First, Johnny Depp as Edward Scissorhands:

That's followed by a pic of an odd food item:

Finally, there was an unblurred version of this image:

The reaction of the morning crew afterward was priceless....

...and so was how quickly they tried to act cool and unflappable:

A short time later, posts like these began popping up on Fox31's Facebook page:

    What happened after Edward Sissorhands?

Hahaha!! I thought I was seeing things! Definitely didn't want to start my day off with some random junk in my face!

This Scene of Death and Destruction will Now be Interrupted by a Picture of Some Guy's Junk!

Let's see the Junk, Let's see the Junk.

However, Fox31 vice president of news Ed Kosowski definitely wasn't amused. Here's his statement about what happened:

"While reporting breaking news about the crash of the KOMO-TV helicopter in Seattle, Fox31 Denver accidentally broadcast an offensive photo while scrolling live through a Twitter feed of pictures from the crash scene. The photo was mistakenly broadcast by our control room. It did not come from the tablet many viewers saw being used by one of our anchors. Oh, the humanity.

If that is the worst thing that could happen on a morning news cast, then no harm was done. But at least they acted professional about it. I am sure during the commerical break, that they were all wondering what the heck happend? See we all don't know what took place during the break time.
I am guessing everyone was wondering how this could have shown up, on the screen? What anchor would not be asking the floor manager on how that picture gotten on the screen in the first place?!
