    Former CUMULUS Country KATC/COLORADO SPRINGS, CO PD JIM MURPHY has joined BRAHMIN BROADCASTING as group PD for 24 of the company’s radio stations, six of which are Country outlets.

    It's a return to radio for MURPHY, who left KATC in JUNE of 2012 for a position as Dir./Career Services at the OHIO CENTER FOR BROADCASTING. He previously spent 15 years as VP/Country at JONES RADIO NETWORKS (Now WESTWOOD ONE).

    Jim Murphy joins Brahmin Broadcasting as Group Program Director for twenty-four of the company's stations in its Western Division beginning October 21. Most recently, Murphy, served as PD of Country KATC-FM/Colorado Springs for 14 months before becoming Director of Career Services at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting. Previously, Murphy spent 15 years at Jones Radio Networks (now Dial Global) most recently as VP/Country.

    "I am pleased to announce the addition of Jim Murphy to our team, as our new Group Program Director. Jim will be based in Cheyenne and will direct and oversee the programming and operations for all our Western stations. Jim will be working directly with Aaron Ishmael and me," said Steven Silberberg. "Jim started his broadcast career in New England, but for the last 20 years he has managed the day-to-day operations and programming for a number of top broadcast companies in the Rocky Mountain West."

    Murphy noted that Terry Cuff, who previously worked as Education Director at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting, Colorado campus, has been hired to take his place as the new Director of Career Services.
