Colorado Broadcasters Raise Money For Flood Victims

COLORADO radio and television broadcasters joined forces for one day to raise funds for the victims of last week’s floods. The COLORADO Flood Relief Fundraiser generated donations of $1,101,044 to the AMERICAN RED CROSS, FOOD BANK OF LARIMER COUNTY, WELD COUNTY FOOD BANK and COMMUNITY FOOD SHARE serving BOULDER and BROOMFIELD COUNTY.

Broadcasters serve their communities first," COLORADO BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION Pres./CEO JUSTIN SASSO said "COLORADO radio and television provided wall-to-wall coverage of this tragedy, communicating ways to get to safety and access lifesaving resources. Before the flood waters had fully receded broadcasters teamed together again and used the power of live, local radio and television to drive a fundraiser, yielding an unprecedented donation total, well beyond our expectations.
