Default Pillar Media Launches Star 101.5 & Kingdom 107.1 Denver

    From Radio Insight:

Pillar Media has completed its $7.775 million acquisition of Max Media Rhythmic AC “Jammin 101.5” KJHM Watkins and Classic Hip Hop “Flo 107.1” KFCO Bennett/Denver CO and launched their new formats on Thursday evening.
KJHM has flipped to Christian AC “Star 101.5” replicating Pillar’s “Star 93.3” WAKW Cincinnati and “Star 99.1” WAWZ Zarepath NJ. It becomes the sixth Christian AC/Worship brand in the Denver market joining a crowded field that includes EMF’s “K-Love” 91.1 KLDV and “Air 1” 103.9 KRKA and K280GB/KLDV-HD2, Hope Media Group’s “Way-FM” 101.9 KXWA, Calvary Chapel Aurora’s “Grace-FM” 91.7 KXGR, and Educational Communications of Colorado Springs’ “The Light” 106.3 K292FM/KYGO-HD3.
KFCO simultaneously transitioned to Christian Hip-Hop “Kingdom 107.1“. Positioning as “Positive Hip Hop”, the station will feature two holdovers from the previous formats as former Program Director and KJHM afternoon host Senen ‘Slim’ Rodriguez becomes morning host at the new brand and former KJHM morning host/KFCO afternoon host ‘Tony V’ Valdez remains in afternoons. Rodriguez had been with Max Media Denver in multiple roles since 2010. He began his career in his native San Francisco at KMEL and KYLD working on the street team before a stint as part of the morning show. He moved to Denver in 2001 and spent nine years in nights at ?KS 107.5? KQKS. Valdez jumped to KFCO/KJHM in 2022 after previously spending eighteen years at KQKS hosting mornings from 2017-22.
The 6am hour of Kingdom 107.1 featured:

    • Steven Malcolm – Cardio
    • KB ft. Brandon Lake – Graves
    • Capital Kings ft. Sam Rivera – Antidote
    • Forest Frank – Thank You
    • Marcus Rogers – Drippin’
    • Alex Jean – Skress Bout Dat
    • Lecrae ft. D Smoke – Can You Hear Me Now?
    • Steven Malcolm – 40
    • Lathan Warlick ft. B. Offor – Look Up To The Sky

    • KB ft. Andy Mineo – Not Today Satan

The two stations join Pillar’s Christian Preaching 910 KPOF/102.7 K274DF in the Denver market.
