KGJX Hits A New Junction

Grand Junction Media has completed the evolution of Oldies “Junkyard 101.5” KGJX Fruita/Grand Junction CO to 80s/90s based Classic Hits “Junction 101.5“.
The station is now positioning as “Totally 80s and 90s” with the syndicated Murphy, Sam & Jodi in mornings. Cluster Production Director Gary Michaels hosts middays and Operations Manager Scott Staley anchors afternoons.
KGJX had rebranded from “Redrock 101.5” to “Junkyard” in April 2019 when it moved to a locally originated playlist. It began shifting its playlist towards Classic Hits in the spring of 2020 and then rebranded as “Junction 101.5“.
