Default KREV San Francisco Returns As Dance Pirate Radio 92.7

    From Radio Insight:

Ed Stolz’ Royce International Broadcasting has returned 92.7 KREV Alameda/San Francisco to operation as Dance “Pirate Radio 92.7“.
The move brings the station back to the format where it had its biggest notoriety as “Party 92.7” KPTI from 2002 to 2004 and then “Energy 92.7” KNGY from later in 2004 until its sale to Stolz in 2009. KREV has been silent since Stolz regained the license out of receivership aborting the planned sale to Christian operator VCY America.
The new brand is being operated with Albuquerque station owner Don Davis, who is running an identical brand “Pirate 96.7” KSFE Grants NM.
A station press release describes the station as “Assembled within a top secret yet dark and dank bunker nine stories somewhere deep beneath Alcatraz Island, Pirate Radio has launched throughout San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area.” They state they are collaborating with several well-known broadcasting trend-setters in the New-EDM / Club Music industry. Interested industry partners are told to call Davis at 505-899-5029 or e-mail pirate927@yahoo.com.
