    Default October 2022 (9/15 - 10/12) Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings Day 4: Record High In Raleigh

    The fourth and final day of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases for the month bring Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Indianapolis, Nashville, Milwaukee, Providence, Norfolk, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, Memphis, and Hartford.

    Austin

    Waterloo Media Variety Hits “103.5 Bob-FM” KBPA rises 9.8 to 10.6 to hold an over four share lead. Public News/Talk 90.1 KUT-FM is up 5.7 to 5.9. Audacy AC “Majic 95.5” KKMJ trends down 6.7 – 5.9 – 5.2. Waterloo Regional Mexican “La Z 107.1” KLZT trends up 4.3 – 4.7 – 5.0 and their News/Talk 590/99.7 KLBJ rises 4.2 to 4.9.
    Waterloo Media Hot AC “Lucy 93.3” KGSR jumps 1.7 – 2.3 – 3.4 for what Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is its highest share since September 2015 under its former AAA format.
    iHeartMedia Country 100.7 KASE is down 4.8 to 3.4, while sister CHR “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI trends down 3.8 – 3.5 – 3.1. University of Texas AAA 98.9 KUTX continues its slide 4.9 – 3.5 – 2.8.
    Genuine Austin Radio Sports “104.9 The Horn” KTXX trends up 1.4 – 2.5 – 2.9, while sister Alt Country 98.5/99.3 KOKE-FM rises 1.1 to 1.6.
    Raleigh/Durham

    iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “Talk 106.1” WTKK rises 8.8 to 9.1 which Huff notes breaks the format high set last month and is the highest on the frequency since Winter 1982. Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM rises 7.4 to 7.9. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK dips 6.7 to 6.6. Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM continues to trend down 10.2 ? 8.7 ? 7.4 – 6.3. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 100.7 WRDU rebounds 5.9 to 6.2.
    Capitol Broadcasting Sports “99.9 The Fan” WCMC-FM trends up 1.3 – 2.0 – 2.5. iHeartMedia Classic Hip Hop “95.3 The Beat” WDCG-HD2 rises 1.9 – 2.0 – 2.5.
    A bad trend for Top 40 as iHeart’s “G105” WDCG slides 3.3 – 2.7 – 2.4 (which Huff notes is the lowest on the frequency since Fall 1977) and Curtis Media’s “Pulse-FM” 102.5 WPLW/96.9 WWPL is down 2.4 – 1.8 – 1.5.
    Indianapolis

    Cumulus Media Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK rises 11.2 to 12.0 to extend its lead. Radio One News/Talk 93.1 WIBC slips 9.9 to 8.8. Radio One AC “B105.7” WYXB inches up 7.9 to 8.0. Cumulus Country 95.5 WFMS rises 5.8 to 6.7. Sarkes Tarzian AAA 92.3 WTTS dips 5.4 to 5.2.
    Following its move from 96.3 in August, Radio One Hip Hop “Hot 100.9” WHHH jumps up 1.9 to 3.3. iHeartMedia’s relaunched Classic Alternative “Indy 103.3” WOLT continues to rise 2.0 – 2.6 – 2.7.
    Classical 88.7 WICR drops 3.0 – 2.3 – 1.2.
    Nashville

    Midwest Communications Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK continues to slide 10.4 – 9.6 – 9.0 – 8.3. Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX surges up 3.5 – 6.1 – 8.0 with the start of the football season and Huff noting is just one tenth off the station record set in October 2015. Cumulus Classic Country “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM rises 6.2 to 7.6. Midwest AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA inches up 6.8 to 6.9. iHeartMedia Country “The Big 98” WSIX trends up 5.9 – 6.4 – 6.6.
    iHeartMedia Hip Hop “101.1 The Beat” WUBT see-saws 5.9 – 4.9 – 5.7. Cumulus Media News/Talk “99.7 WTN” WWTN slips 5.9 to 5.0. Public News/Talk 90.3 WPLN-FM drops 5.4 to 4.3.

    iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 1130 WISN reclaims its market lead up 9.6 to 10.6. iHeart Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT slips 9.4 to 8.5. Saga Classic Rock “Hometown Rock 96.5” WKLH rises 7.6 to 8.3. Good Karma News/Talk 620 WTMJ falls 10.0 to 8.1. iHeartMedia Country “FM 106.1” WMIL is up 6.9 to 7.1.
    Saga Rock “102.9 The Hog” WHQG jumps 5.4 to 6.7. Audacy Hot AC “99.1 The Mix” WMYX rises 5.0 to 4.4. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “V100” WKKV trends up 2.9 – 3.5 – 4.3, while Sports “97.3 The Game” WRNW-FM is up 1.1 – 1.3 – 2.1.

    iHeartMedia Rock 94.1 WHJY slips 10.2 – 9.8 – 8.7 to just hold onto the Providence lead. Cumulus AC “Lite 105.1” WWLI is off 8.9 to 8.6. Hall’s “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK moves 8.2 to 8.1. Cumulus CHR “92 Pro-FM” WPRO-FM holds at a 6.9 share, while sister News/Talk 630 WPRO/99.7 WEAN trends up 4.8 – 5.5 – 6.4.

    After setting a PPM record for highest non-Christmas music share last month, Cumulus Adult R&B 103.5 WRBO comes back to earth 16.7 to 12.5. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V101” KJMS trends up 9.4 – 10.4 – 10.8. iHeart Gospel “95.7 Hallelujah-FM” WHAL-FM rises 8.0 to 9.1. iHeart Hip Hop “K97” WHRK is up 6.8 to 7.0.
