Weather takes KFKA off air.

The storms moving through Weld County took KFKA off the air shortly before 5 PM on Saturday (during our show, which instead of our usual medical topics was devoted to storm updates). As of 6 AM Sunday, it was still off the air.

Thanks for the info! Their transmitter is located near 35th Ave and 49th St in Evans (south of Greeley). It looks like there was some really nasty weather happening around Greeley yesterday. Hope they get it back up soon!

It was back up and on air shortly after the original post. That particular cell started in Ft. Collins and travelled SE through the transmitter site and then through LaSalle.
