Default Flo 107.1 Returns To Denver On KFCO

I'm sorry guys. I accidently deleted the thread on Hot 107.1 changing back to Flo 107.1 and can't seem to bring it back...

    Here's the news story:

    August 12, 2021

Max Media has completed stunting and flipped CHR “Hot 107.1” KFCO Bennett/Denver back to Classic Hip Hop “Flo 107.1” at 7am this morning.

Now positioning as “Back N’ Tha Day & Today”, the station launched with Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg “Nuthin’ But A G Thang”, Juvenile “Back That Azz Up”, and Ludacris “Southern Hospitality”.

The station has also announced that Adrian ‘A.D.’ Scott has joined as Operations Director. Scott previously programmed Classic Hip Hop 93.5 KDAY Los Angeles from 2005 to 2017. The station has yet to announce plans for its on-air lineup.

KFCO previously was Classic Hip Hop from December 2015 until shifting to Rhythmic CHR in June 2018.

The people have spoken, and we heard you! Back by popular demand FLO 107.1 (KFCO-FM) is officially back on the airwaves of Denver playing nothing but the biggest records from BACK N’ THA DAY & TODAY with FLO 107.1. Kicking off the station commercial free until further notice.

“It was clear to us that the FLO brand has value, and we want to target a broader audience”, said newly acquire Operations Director Adrian (A.D.) Scott, who is credited for launching the 1st classic/back in the day terrestrial radio station for KDAY & KDEY-FM in Los Angeles. “This station provides us with a unique opportunity to reach a larger audience, that the Front Range was underserved”.

“Adrian (A.D.) Scott is the right executive to lead the very challenging task of keeping “FLO” true to its back in the day to today roots”. Affirmed Sean Rhoads, President/ GM of Max Media Denver. “I feel that FLO will be a great representation of the diverse cultural melting pot of the area it represents, music is a universal language.”

Original Report 8/10: Max Media CHR “Hot 107.1” KFCO Bennett/Denver CO has dropped the 16 month old brand and has entered stunt mode ahead of a new format launch.

KFCO began stunting at 5pm this evening as “Flip 107.1” with promos teasing different genres and a new format launch on Thursday.

KFCO’s flip follows iHeartMedia’s relaunch of their CHR “95.7 The Party” to “Hits 95.7” in mid-July after a stunt of its own.

KFCO had shifted from Hip Hop “Flo 107.1” to CHR in May 2020. It held a mere 0.6 share in the July 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings trailing KPTT’s 2.3 share. The station previously utilized the Hot moniker with a CHR and later Dance format from 2009 to 2012.
