Default KVOD 88.1 FM to move/upgrade translator at 99.9 FM. Will cover a good part of the Northwest Denver metro area.

CPR Classical KVOD 88.1 FM has had a translator for the Boulder area at 99.9FM. They have a construction permit to move the translator to El Dorado Mountain (same transmitter site as AAA KBCO 97.3FM) and it has Arvada as the city of license. This will give them better coverage to the Northwest Denver metro area and east. No word on when this upgrade will be done as it was granted back in January.

    Here's their coverage now:

This new coverage gets really close to the coverage area of Cheyenne's Hot AC KKPL 99.9 FM (The Point):

How can the FCC allow this? 99.9 would over run KVOD! They can't allow KVOD is move in over KKPL's frequency. That would hurt kkpl in a major way!

It looks like Longmont is the north/south line for which station you will receive. KKPL's service area is Cheyenne and south to Ft. Collins. So that won't be affected...
