Default KPTT (95.7 The Party)/Denver Rebrands As Hits 95.7

    From All Access:

iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 KPTT (95.7 THE PARTY) has rebranded as the new HITS 95.7. Prior to the rebrand at noon Mountain, the station had been playing all BRITNEY SPEARS as FREE BRITNEY 95.7.

The new HITS 95.7 is also calling itself the "Home of Commercial Free Weekends".

iHEARTMEDIA/DENVER Region SVPP JOJO TURNBEAUGH commented, "The launch of HITS 95.7 marks the dawn of a new era in DENVER radio. Our passion for hit music — including non-stop, uninterrupted music on the weekends— along with top-notch personalities will propel HITS 95.7 to new heights in the MILE HIGH CITY."

I would've taken the station another way, and am surprised they didn't do this and tried to go against KOSI with a "Breeze" Soft AC format like this one iHeart has in SF: https://www.iheart.com/live/981-the-breeze-285/

Higher potential cume and a more desirable demo for advertisers. Plus, it wouldn't step on any of iHeart's other Denver stations.

I think it came up as an idea about 3 or years ago when the "Breeze" format starting getting popular and iHeart was playing one of their versions of the "Breeze" format here on 106.7 FM HD-2. UPDATE, yep the thread was here: http://www.coloradomedia.net/forums/...ming-To-Denver
