95.7 The Party is no more. They're now stunting as free Britney Radio. It's expected that the stunt will last through tomorrow at Noon and a rebrand of some form will take place.

Default KPTT Stunting As Free Britney Radio

    From Radio Insight:

iHeartMedia CHR “95.7 The Party” KPTT Denver has entered stunt mode as “Free Britney Radio“.
The station started playing nothing but Spears’ music at midnight coinciding with the next hearing in her legal battle over her conservatorship this afternoon. The stunt follows the dismissal of KPTT morning hosts Deuce, Nina Blanco, and Dubz earlier this month.
It is expected a rebranded CHR presentation will follow. The “95.7 The Party” brand debuted as a Rhythmic AC in 2006. The station shifted to Rhythmic CHR in 2009 and then Mainstream CHR in 2015.

SO same music but the name changes? I wonder why they chosed to play all Brittany spears music? (I feel so sorry for everyone down there that has to put up with that.). Name changes, format doesn't??
So they got tired of the name The Party. So I wonder? Does the call letters stay the same to or is that going to change to?

Not sure about the call letters but here's what's going on with Brittney. https://www.usatoday.com/story/enter...ng/7943165002/

The 95.7 frequency has had more format changes over the years than just about any other station in Denver. Wikipedia lists most of them (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPTT) but they missed some in the early 80s. In 1980 they switched to beautiful music but got trampled by KOSI and KLIR (now Mix-100) in the ratings. They then started simulcasting KHOW but due to FCC rules at the time, they could only simulcast temporarily. They then split the two stations but continued to play the KHOW music library until KPKE made it's debut as an album rock station, going up against KBPI and KAZY. Then, around 1984, they switched to Top 40. Their numbers were decent but management decided to fire all the jocks and change to a satellite delivered soft AC station in 1987 called Sunny 95.7. The satellite format was short lived and they brought back live jocks until they decided to start simulcasting KHOW AM in the early 90s. Then, they split the signals around 1994 when KHOW (AM) went all talk and FM took over the calls and smooth jazz format of KHIH from 94.7 which was purchased by Salem. They continued to change formats and branding after that but I lost interest in the station. More of the history can be found on the Wikipedia page.

"Welcome to the all new Hits 95-7." In their opening statement, they said weekends will be commercial free. They also took a swipe at Alice and KS107-5 by thanking their listeners for coming to them for the new music that want to hear. Started the new branding with good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo, Best Friend by Saweetie Feat. Doja Cat, Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran, Levitating by Dua Lipa Feat. DeBaby and Positions by Ariana Grande. I've only occasionally listened to 95-7 in recent years but, to me, it sounds much the same as before with different branding and possibly making some changes to their playlist.

Yep 95.7 had alot of interesting format changes. Lets not forget how they tried to please both Spanish and English listeners by becoming a Spanish/ English combo station. Then that failed and landed ad KISS 95.7.
Why does this station have a hard time keeping a format?
