WLW Resurrects America's Trucking Network

After cancelling the overnight “America’s Trucking Network” when Steve Sommers was let go in November, iHeartMedia News/Talk 700 WLW Cincinnati has brought back the show in an abbreviated form.
WVXU’s John Kiesewetter reports that a pre-recorded one hour version of the show is airing from 12-1am hosted by former ATN weekend host Eric ‘Bubba Bo’ Boulanger and longtime sponsor Ed ‘Mr. Motorkote’ Gibbs of MotorKote engine lubricants. The show is pre-recorded since Boulanger continues to host mornings at Wagon Wheel Broadcasting’s “Eagle Country 99.3” WSCH Aurora IN as he has since 2005.
Gibbs told Kiesewetter that the show may expand to multiple hours and go live later this year. WLW has filled the remainder of its overnight schedule with Westwood One’s Red Eye Radio.
Sommers began hosting a new streaming show, “Steve Sommers’ Overnight Drive” in partnership with another longtime sponsor Hot Shot’s Secret earlier this month.
