At iHEARTMEDIA/DENVER, JOHN E. KAGE is named PD for Country KWBL (106.7 THE BULL). He continues to hold that position at Top 40 sister KPTT (95.7 THE PARTY). KAGE assumes duties previously handled by Regional SVP/Programming JOJO TURNBEAUGH, who will now co-host an afternoon show at News-Talk KOA-A-K231BQ-K231AA (NET NEWS 8/28), in addition to his regional programming role.
KAGE previously was PD at crosstown rival BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL CORP. Country KYGO/DENVER before resigning in JANUARY to join KPTT (NET NEWS 1/28). Prior to KYGO, KAGE programmed COX MEDIA GROUP Top 40 WPOI (HOT 101.5)/TAMPA and ENTERCOM Top 40 KQKS/DENVER.
At KOA, TURNBEAUGH will be paired in afternoons with former DENVER BRONCOS linebacker ALFRED “Big AL” WILLIAMS, effective TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd.
"KAGE has mastered the art and science of programming contemporary formats,” said TURNBEAUGH. “There’s no question that 106.7 THE BULL and 95.7 THE PARTY will grow and continue to thrive under JOHN’s leadership.”
“I am beyond thrilled to make my return to Country music on 106.7 THE BULL,” said KAGE. “Country music has a special community with a unique bond between radio, the artists and the listeners. I missed it dearly and I’m very grateful for being able to be a part of it again. A special thanks to iHEARTMEDIA for giving me the opportunity, and I look forward to working alongside the talented team here at 106.7 THE BULL and contributing to the station’s ongoing success.”
