Condolences to family and friends of BARRY FEY, for many years the leading concert promoter in the DENVER area, who died SUNDAY (4/28) at 73. FEY had been recovering from hip surgery at the time of his passing, but a cause of death has yet to be released.

FEY started his concert promotion career in ROCKFORD, IL in 1965, then was credited with bringing LED ZEPPELIN to the U.S. for the first time in DECEMBER 1968; his DENVER POP FESTIVAL in 1969 featured JIMI HENDRIX's last concert performance. He also promoted concerts at RED ROCKS AMPITHEATER and many more shows until he merged his FEYLINE company into UNIVERSAL CONCERTS in 1991, then was bought out in 1997. Later, he hosted a show on MILE HIGH SPORTS Sports KCKK-A/DENVER and wrote a book, "Backstage Past," in 2011.
