Looks like Country is doing very well in Denver. KYGO at the top and the Bull trending upward. I can't get over the low budget sports stations like KEPN, KKSE (am-fm) and KDSP. At what point is it even worth paying the electric bill for the transmitters? KSE could have kept 92.5 a voice tracked country station with AV's and Nuggets games and do better then what they are with all sports.

KSE's main reason for buying the FM's they have now was to change one of them to sports. It took them a while to do it. I don't think they care they are not making as much money (or even losing money) with KKSE 92.5 FM/950 AM because they see it as a media package with Altitude Sports TV and Kroenke's teams. They will give it a lot of time (years) to try to take ratings from KKFN. But with KOA 850 AM/94.1 FM changing to just news and sports talk, that may shake things up a bit with all of the sports stations.

I'm sure Bonneville's sales people sell advertising for KEPN 1600 AM as a combo with KKFN 104.3 FM. For example, "Buy 50 spots on KEPN and we will give you 5 on KKFN" or something like that. KEPN is now promoting they are also on 98.1 FM in Denver. I haven't been able to pick it up when I've driven around the metro area or even see where there's a close translator in the FCC database that could be carrying it.

I don't see how KDCO 1340 AM/104.7 FM is making money with all of the sports competition. Maybe that's why it's supposedly for sale.

I will always think of 104.3 the Fan and KOA first when i think of sports radio in Denver. The other stations arent even on my radar. Once the WOLF went away 92.5 was dropped from my presets and 106.7 took its place. I like the Bull in small doses, its still not as listenable as KYGO is. Bobby Bones is a no go for me and the afternoon show is annoying. I like more music and Paul Donovan for my drive home. Even in the morning Tracy and Guy are upbeat enough and play enough music for them not to get too annoying. I just thought about it today that one station i havent listened to forever is 95.7

I'm exactly the opposite. I think 92.5 first and can't stand the Fan. I love the Broncos as much as the next guy but don't shove the NFL down my throat 24-7, that's a turn off. I love Altitude's lineup way better too. I think they'll get into the 1 shares this NFL/NBA season with renewed interest in the Avs and Nuggs and the pending disaster we have for the Broncos. This will especially hold true if Mile High Sports goes away. I do agree with the comment made that KSE won't give up easy on 92.5. I am surprised they've had a CP hanging out there for 10 months to modify their signal.

I told them that 92.5 wouldnt do well in the ratings.
I did read that 92.5 hd2 is back on the air doing classic country. 6.0 for KYGO. What a defeat as t!

92.5 Has never really done great in ratings. Their signal is kind of weak in areas. That's why I was saying I was surprised they haven't taken action on getting their CP completed yet.
