KCKK is still being heard on 93.7FM.

I have been trying that site all day long.
Looks like Iheartmedia took it down? I even tried to
Search for KDFD. Nothing came up?

It looks like the web site is hidden for now... I'm glad I grabbed the new Freedom logo before it disappeared.
It seems a bunch of people grabbed it from here. LOL

The Consummation Notice was filed with the FCC on July 5th.
The 93.7 FM signal COULD be changed to KDFD by Monday, the 22nd.

The flip happened at noon today. New format debuts at 10:05 Monday morning.

1510 has a really bad signal on the east side of town, virtually non existent at night, despite their huge power. Directional stations are like that. The 93.7 signal came in like gangbusters here (Near Southlands Mall) because I have an old fashioned VHF-UHF-FM antenna in my attic feeding my TVs and home theater receiver. If they had more commercials sold, The Rock might have made it. But how do you sell clients on an AM only these days? Yet they are still stuck with an overpowered, four-tower array to pay for every month. I do understand that money is not limitless, and the records show that the FM translator sold for more than the AM & Translator five years ago. Stations are going dark all across the country because the land is worth more than the signal. I sincerely wish the Hunt family good luck. It's just hard to see what the plan is going forward. As for the Boulder translator, it is too weak to hear here, and shares a frequency with KPAW and KKPK.

BTW, all of this is my opinion. I have NO insider information, as I have never worked for iHeart nor the Hunts. Just obvious observations as a former broadcaster and someone who is saddened by the state of radio today.

I hope they make it too.

I think it was a huge mistake for them not to promote the loss of 93.7 sooner/better and how listeners needed to move to 1510AM or to their web stream.
Their Facebook and web site is STILL based on the 93.7 frequency. Another big mistake.

Their Facebook has a few posts from confused listeners on why they are now playing patriotic songs. Ugh.

Wow! I thought by now Janice would up date her fb and webpage?
She did make alot of mistakes leading up to this moment. Its like she doesn't care about her station anymore?
It is really sad that she went down this path?
Oh and it seems like iheart is still hiding the new freedom"s
    Website as well?

A minor update, I just went to their Facebook yes it does still say 93.7 The Rock but here's what I saw posted on their page.

"WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MOVED TO 1510 AM! We are no longer affiliated with 93.7 FM any longer. Still the same great music, just on 1510 AM only!"

It is certainly not how I would have handled it as an owner or Operations Manager. A new webpage and logo would have been ready, maybe a live countdown show leading up to the flip to iHeart telling listeners to go to 1510, how to get Alexa & Google Assistant to play KCKK on Tune-In, etc. Sadly, the sponsors will not get the same listenership either. It appears to me that they just want out. With two hosted shows and the only hosts being family, it appears that they have given up and trying to keep it on the air until a buyer is found. Again, just what it looks like to me as a listener. I love family-owned and operated stations. I wish this had happened differently. IHeart, Cumulus, et. al. Don’t need to own everything.

KCKK finally registered 1510therock.com on Friday and now has their web site pointed to it.
They still haven't removed 93.7 off of their logos on their web site or on Facebook.
