Non-profit BROADCAST PIONEERS OF COLORADO recently held an event to honor its 2018 Hall of Fame class. It took place on OCTOBER 19th.
Triple A radio veteran DENNIS CONSTANTINE was one of the inductees – who was honored for the launching of KBCO and oversaw programming there for 17 years. CONSTANTINE boasts over 50 years in radio broadcasting. He is currently programming for YAVAPAI BROADCASTING in ARIZONA.
Other inductees included ARCH ANDREWS (a career in radio, television and film – he later worked for the Colorado Division of Wildlife)), TOM BAER (news and documentary photographer), DON KINNEY (radio and television news -- also host of the TV show “The State Of Colorado), DICK LEWIS (television personality), WARD LUCAS (television news), TOM MCLELLAND (early radio engineer who was killed in WW II) and POGO POGE (radio DJ and he also had a children’s television show).
