Toshamakia Moves To KS107.5 As MD/Afternoon Host

Toshamakia Acevedo is moving to Denver as Music Director and afternoon host at Entercom Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS-FM Lakewood/Denver CO. Acevedo joins KQKS from sister “102 Jamz” WJMH Greensboro NC where she served as afternoon host, but had also voicetracked middays at KQKS. She joined WJMH in 2011 as morning co-host before moving to her current afternoon slot. She has also been a recording artist and began her radio career in 2001 at “Hot 93.7” WZMX Hartford before working at 100.3 WRNB Philadelphia and SiriusXM. Toshamakia fills the opening created by Michael ‘Big Mic” Buhrman’s promotion to Program Director of 102.5 KSFM Sacramento in May. Entercom, the #1 creator of live, original, local audio content in the United States, announced the appointment of Toshamakia Acevedo to the role of Music Director for KS 107.5 (KQKS-FM) in Denver, effective July 30. In addition, Acevedo will also host the station’s afternoon drive from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. MT. Prior to joining Entercom, Acevedo held on-air roles at Sirius XM Radio and Radio One’s WRNB in Philadelphia. Acevedo succeeds former Assistant Program Director, Music Director and afternoon drive host Michael Buhrman, who recently transitioned to Entercom’s 102.5 KSFM (KSFM-FM) in Sacramento as Program Director and afternoon drive host.
