CRAWFORD News-Talk KLZ-A-K246BO (560 KLZ THE SOURCE)/DENVER morning host and former COLORADO Republican Party Chairman STEVE CURTIS faces voter fraud charges, reports the WASHINGTON POST. CURTIS, who has been vocal on claiming that mostly Democrats commit voter fraud, was hit with charges for allegedly filling out and mailing a ballot in his ex-wife's name in last year's elections. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor voter fraud and one of forgery in WELD COUNTY District Court TUESDAY (3/21).
Prosecutors allege that CURTIS, who served as COLORADO G.O.P Chairman in 1997-99 and was on an advisory board for the DENVER TEA PARTY PATRIOTS in 2011, filled out the ballot in KELLY CURTIS' name; KELLY CURTIS said that she discovered the problem when she called the WELD COUNTY Elections Office to find out how to vote by mail from her new home in SOUTH CAROLINA, only to be told that she had already voted by mail. A hearing has been set for MAY in the case.
The POST describes CURTIS' OCTOBER 6th show as concentrating on "Voter Fraud and Other Democratic Misbehaviors," and quotes CURTIS as saying that there is "something about being a Democrat" that makes people prone to criminal behavior and "It seems to me that virtually every case of voter fraud I can remember in my lifetime was committed by Democrats." He said he would be voting by mail for DONALD TRUMP.
CURTIS hosts "WAKE UP! WITH STEVE CURTIS" on KLZ.
