Colorado Broadcasters Association, Nielsen Research Confirms Radio's Reach In State
From All Access:
For a third year, the COLORADO BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION (CBA) has commissioned NIELSEN for a study of COLORADANS' use of radio, television and social media. This year’s study confirms that broadcast radio and television continue to attract the largest audience and most effectively reach the masses.
A few of this year’s takeaways include the strength radio maintains in the state with MILLENNIALS and its dominant reach over Internet streaming services such as PANDORA. Television is still COLORADO’s first choice for news and reaches more adults in a single day than NETFLIX does in a single month.
COLORADO broadcasters' ability to adapt and embrace digital media has expanded the time state residents spend consuming their favorite local stations.
Commented CBA Pres./CEO JUSTIN SADDO; "I’m extremely excited about this year’s POWER OF BROADCAST IN COLORADO study. The information we get from NIELSEN continues to show exactly how important broadcasters are to their communities. For three years we’ve prepared this study and each year we see the absolute opposite of what the naysayers are spreading."
Two individual presentations will be given this week in DENVER and GRAND JUNCTION, CO. Those attending will get their own copy of the this year’s study along with a personal walk-through of the data with NIELSEN’s TONY HEREAU.
The CBA-commissioned study will only be made available to its members. Community leaders and law enforcement officials are also invited to the presentations to see firsthand the impact the state's broadcasters have on listeners and viewers.
