It may have taken CUMULUS Top 40/M KKMG (98.8 MAGIC FM)/COLORADO SPRINGS PD NIKKI LANDRY 15 years, but she's finally published her first book on AMAZON.
"I Solemnly Swear: A Forbidden Love Story Between An Officer And An Airman In The United States Air Force: Is All Really Fair In Love And War" is available as an e-book on AMAZON (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ARZ22LM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B01ARZ22LM&linkCode=as2&tag=djrob-20&linkId=UVJXQI4RXQF43YL2). LANDRY began writing it in 1992, took a 15 year break, and then finished the romance novel.
Here's a brief syopsis of the plot: Melissa Bradshaw attends college and finds who she believes is her "soul mate" Captain Richard Clarrion. She enlists into the United States Air Force to find him, a decorated officer who is married with two kids and seems to have the perfect life. One morning, Susan, his wife, tries to awake him while he's asleep in their bedroom. Still half asleep, Richard mumbles the word, "Melissa?". Surprised to hear this, his wife asks "What did you say honey?" He wipes his eyes and says "What?" She says "You called me Melissa." He replies "No, I said I missed ya."
