The inaugural SeriesFest, (http://blogs.denverpost.com/ostrow/2015/02/19/inaugural-seriesfest-held-denver/21401/) an international TV and content festival to be held in Denver June 18-21, today will announce its preliminary lineup.

In conjunction with the Denver Film Society, the screenings will be held at the Sie FilmCenter. The Opening Night Ceremony will be at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 18.

Highlights include a screening of Starz series “Survivor’s Remorse,” followed by a discussion with Executive Producer/Creator/Showrunner Mike O’Malley and the cast; a screening of USA Network’s “Mr. Robot” followed by a Q&A with Creator and Executive Producer Sam Esmail and actors Carly Chaikin and Martin Wallström; and a sneak preview of the series premiere of Fusion’s “Outpost” followed by a conversation with Showrunner Gabriel Leigh.

Panels with showrunners, sessions on digital platforms, branding, and scoring music for TV and film are planned.

“SeriesFest: Season One” today announced the Independent TV Pilot Competition official selections that will be in contention June 19-20 in Denver.
Established creators and talent — including Malcolm McDowell, John Glover, Alan Thicke, Missy Pyle, Keith Powell, Michael Raymond James, Rachel Dratch and Mary Lynn Rajskub (pictured) — will be represented along with emerging artists.

The winning pilot will be screened on Comcast on Demand statewide after the festival.

“We received hundreds of submissions and are excited by the incredibly diverse lineup—comprised of 26 finalists—featured in this year’s inaugural pilot competition,” Randi Kleiner, CEO of SeriesFest, said in a statement.

The festival will also include previews of coming network fare including USA’s “Mr. Robot,” ABC’s “Quantico” and “Blood and Oil,” HBO’s “Sex On//,” AMC’s “Humans” and FX’s “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.” Some screenings, most of which will take place at the Sie Film Center, will be followed by interviews with cast or producers.
