Less than 2 months ago, Walsenburg got a new Easy Listening radio station: Easy 101.3 KFEZ (http://www.easy1013.com). My family and I lived in Colorado Springs during the late 80s and early 90s, and Easy 101.3 sounds like the old KKLI 106.3 back then. There was also a Beautiful Music (instrumentals) radio station: KRDO 95.1. And up until mid-April 2012, there was a Great American Songbook station: KCMN 1530. IMHO Easy 101.3 picks up where the old KKLI left off, and with the occasional tunes by Barbra Streisand, the Manhattan Transfer, Johnny Mathis, and Dean Martin, Easy 101.3 fills a void left by the old KCMN.

How far north does KFEZ reach? Do they have a good signal into the Springs?

Wish I could hear it in Denver.

It's definitely stronger in the southern part of Colorado Springs. I live in the northeast in Village Seven, and the signal on my home stereo is about 50% music, 50% static. It's about the same for KJQY. It reminds me of when I first tuned in KATM and Magic FM in the '80s before their antennas were moved to Cheyenne Mountain.

KJME-AM 890 has also launched, playing a big band format. It's automated right now, but SoCo's management said they may be hiring in a month or so.
