SPORTSGUYMIKE ENTERPRISES LLC's COLORADO SPRINGS-based Internet Sports streaming station RIVALRADIO809 is adding YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO programming under an affiliation agreement that begins MONDAY (11/17). The station will be rebranded as YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO COLORADO SPRINGS/RIVALRADIO809.COM with the affiliation, which the station believes may be the first Internet station affiliation with a broadcast Sports network.
SPORTSGUYMIKE ENTERPRISES LLC President MICHAEL J. LUPER said, “We are thrilled to be an affiliate of YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO and join the YAHOO! SPORTS family. We are very excited and pleased to be the first internet sports radio station with a National Sports Radio Affiliate. We couldn’t think of anyone better to make history with than YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO, The #1 Sports Site In The World.”
LUPER, who promises more announcements regarding the addition of local programming to the RIVALRADIO809 lineup, added, “Our move to YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO will re-energize sports radio throughout the I-25 corridor of COLORADO and around the world. The way people listen to radio has changed and we are proud to be the first to take it to another level.”
