Blizzard Broadcasting has closed on its previously announced purchase of 1kw Sports KBCR-AM (1230) and 27.5kw Country KBCR-FM (96.9), licensed to Steamboat Springs, CO, from Cool Radio LLC. The price for the deal was $500,000. Blizzard entered into a Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) to operate the stations on August 1. Cool Radio also owns KSNO-FM/Aspen and KZYR-FM/Vail, both in Colorado.
Jody McCoy of Media Services Group's Colorado Springs office was the exclusive broker representing the buyer in this transaction.
