Perhaps you’ve heard about the reality dating show, premiering July 17, in which couples meet and vacation together in the buff, on a picaresque island. Riding horses (ow!) and watching sunsets. Blurred images in strategic places protect the viewer from over-exposure. The gimmick is supposed to reveal the potential date’s inner beauty. At least exhibitionists can avoid tan lines.
Fonda, who has lived in Colorado for five years and held jobs “from political campaign work*to bartending and budtending,” says her starring episode comes up in August. “I’m a very open person. I was having body image issues” from high school on, she says, and hopes this show can give young girls and women a more positive concept of the body.
The production process was challenging, she says. “There are three cameras on you at all times, and there you are with barely any makeup on*and naked.” In retrospect, she said, “it’s all rather humorous, to be honest.”
