View Full Version : Denver Now A Top 20 Market, Boise Debuts At 100 In New Arbitron Rankings

ARBITRON has released the new FALL population estimates, accompanied by updated population estimates for the ARBITRON markets.

The report shows populations growth in the top 10 markets, but no change in ranking in those cities. There ws one change in the top 20, with DENVER growing past NY's NASSAU-SUFFOLK. THE MILE HIGH CITY now ranks #19, with LONG ISLAND slipping to #20.

Other moves include SALT LAKE CITY up two to #29, moving ahead of CINCINNATI and CLEVELAND. CHARLESTON, SC moves up three to #79, ahead of AKRON, HARRISBURG and MONTEREY-SALINAS-SANTA CRUZ. COLUMBUS, OH drops to #37 and SYRACUSE is down to #89.
BOISE joins the top 100, bumping WICHITA, which falls to #101.

BECKLEY, WV is now the smallest market covered by ARBITRON at #274, nudging CASPER out.
WENATCHEE-MOSES LAKE, WA has also been pushed out of the list.
