In a Facebook post (https://www.facebook.com/peggy991/posts/pfbid0VJYcLNfVr8zSTUhhUYVJxX6PSL6dpmVLzHMj1wggFfaT uZd8tR89E8Rbw2X84pQvl) on Monday, the station wrote, “Today we said good-bye to Peggy@99.1?s Tom McGouran, Colleen Rusholme and Frank Andrews. We appreciate their contributions during their time with the station and wish them all the best. Stay tuned for a whole new sound coming to Winnipeg soon.” McGouran had just joined the station as morning host in July after stints at multiple stations in the market over the past forty years.
No word yet on what the new format will be and when it will launch. Corus also owns News/Talk “Global News Radio 680 (https://globalnews.ca/radio/cjob/)” CJOB and Rock “Power 97 (https://power97.com)” CJKR-FM in the market.
