Shannon joined Cumulus in April 2015 after previously serving in the same role at Entercom Sacramento from 2013-15. He previously held sales management roles for Fisher Communications in Seattle and Portland, Clear Channel Seattle, and Entercom Seattle. During his tenure with Cumulus, Shannon oversaw the rebranding of CHR “Q100” WWWQ as “Q99.7 (https://www.q997atlanta.com)“, relaunch of Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX as “New Country 101.5 (https://www.newcountry1015.com)“, the recent flip of “Rock 100.5” WNNX to Classic Alternative “99X (https://99xatl.com)“, and the 2019 sale of “Talk 106.7” WYAY to Educational Media Foundation. Cumulus also owns Classic Hip Hop “OG 97.9 (https://www.og979.com)” WWWQ-HD3.
