Ruppel, a native of nearby Flint, joins Townsquare from Saga Communications’ Portland ME where he has been PD/afternoon host at Country 101.9 WPOR (https://1019por.com) since 2019. He previously spent seven years as Operations Manager of Saga’s Harrisonburg VA cluster and has programmed East Texas Broadcasting’s “Star Country 96.9 (https://easttexasradio.com/stations/star-country-96-9/)” KSCN Mount Pleasant TX.
He fills the duties that had been held by McConnell ‘Large’ Adams until last September. Adams remains with Townsquare Lansing focusing on his duties as PD of AC 99.1 WFMK (https://99wfmk.com) and PD/morning host at CHR “97.5 Now-FM (https://975now.com)” WJIM-FM.
