The station has dropped all branding references to 970 WMAY Springfield and translators 94.7 W234CC Sherman and 102.5 W273DR Springfield to brand just as “92.7 WMAY (https://www.wmay.com)” emphasizing the Class B1 92.7 WMAY-FM Taylorville.
With the branding change comes they addition of more syndicated conservative talkers away from the mix of local and advice talk mixed with Oldies “Hits & Headlines” at night and weekends that the station had been featuring.
Greg Bishop remains in mornings from 6-9am for the rebranded “Springfield’s Morning News”. Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade is added from 9-11am replacing local host Mike Wennmacher. Clay Travis & Buck Sexton joins the lineup from 11am to 2pm followed by Dana Loesch from 2-4pm. Program Director Jim Leach loses the first hour of his show to now run 4-6pm rebranded as “Springfield’s Afternoon News”. Frank McNeil remains from 6-7pm with his show rebranded as “Springfield’s Evening News”. Erick Erickson is added from 7-10pm. The Dave Ramsey Show moves from 1-3pm to 10pm to 12am. Coast to Coast with George Noory is added in overnights. “On Call w/ Dr. Asa,” which had been airing in the 11am hour, departs the weekday schedule.
