The intentionally cheesy attention-getter of the summer, “Sharknado,” is coming to local theaters because, well, they can sell some tickets. And most of the Twitter buzz was likely created by people who never saw the thing.
The instant cult classic (?) will be screened nationwide on Fri., Aug. 2 (starting at 12:05 a.m. local time) with a behind-the-scenes featurette and gag reel.
