The company, led by Florian DeCastro and Lynda Cink, purchased the former KCBR and K239CH from SGMK Communications Partners for $185,000 and K253AH from United States CP for $65,000 last October (https://radioinsight.com/headlines/199675/station-sales-week-of-10-16/). The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (https://gazette.com/business/longtime-radio-executive-planning-to-resurrect-colorado-springs-station/article_998e399e-6bd4-11eb-bc00-4f6e2150167b.html) that the group has hired former 105.5 KRDO-FM (https://krdo.com/radio/) afternoon news anchor Ted Robertson as General Manager and Director of Programming and Community Engagement.
The Gazette reports the station will feature AC music on weekdays and brokered Talk on the weekend. KPPF will then shift to all Talk by the end of the year. Programming will include local newscasts in mornings and afternoons. The station has also recently hired Al Vasquez as Production Manager and Andrew Woehle as General Sales Manager.
