I see guys shooting from the parking lot frequently and am duly impressed by their level of slack, but doing a fake remote via SNG, using the same shot 50 feet apart is just silly.

I think the story was a little nit picky. They probably did that because one was doing live stuff for CNN, the other for HLN... and then they did the quick segment together and it was probably easier logistically to just do it the way they did.

But yes, things like that can come off a little silly. ;-)
