Here’s a Denver-based company making Colorado proud: Geeks Who Drink hosts pub trivia game nights around the country, and next up is a “Game of Thrones” event set for Saturday, June 8 in Denver and 11 other cities. Locally, the fun begins at 2:00pm at The Rackhouse Pub on 203 S. Kalamath St. Questions are drawn from both the books by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series.
The contest, sponsored by the proudly obsessive fansite Westeros.org (http://www.westeros.org/), requires each quiz player to pay a $5 admission fee. Fans form six-person Noble House of Westeros teams for the eight-round, two-hour event. Winning teams reap a cash prize of $200-$500. And, mostly, geek bragging rights.
