Local morning TV, one area of growth in an otherwise flat economy, gets a shakeup next week when Brooke Wagner officially joins Fox31 after several on-air auditions. She’ll co-anchor “Good Day Colorado” beginning April 22 with Kirk Yuhnke, who joins the station from the ABC affiliate in Phoenix.
Natalie Tysdale takes her leave at the end of May after a decade with KDVR and KWGN. Official word is that she wants to “spend more time with her family” when her contract expires.
Nick Emmons moves to the 7 p.m. newscast, co-anchoring with Hema Mullur; Melody Mendez will co-host “Everyday” a couple of days each week, filling-in for Tysdale. Beyond her anchor duties, Tysdale may be best remembered for posing seductively with fellow KDVR anchor Libby Weaver on the cover of Denver Magazine’s 2009 men’s issue.
