The annual COLORADO BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION AWARD GALA was held SATURDAY (3/9), and CCM+E Top 40 KSME (96.1 KISS FM) grabbed Major Market Radio Station of the Year honors for the second year in a row - and the third time in the station’s history.
The station received 11 nominations in eight different categories, winning six of them:
* Best Afternoon & Night Show: BIG ROB ON THE RADIO
* Best Midday Show: KRAMER (KISS FM PD RYAN KRAMER)
* Best Use of New Media
* Best Regularly Scheduled Entertainment Program: TOP 96 OF 2012
* Best Sales Event/Remote Broadcast: BOO BALL AT CACTUS CANYON
"CLEAR CHANNEL of NORTHERN COLORADO is very fortunate to have an outstanding staff ... people who are talented, smart and hard working," said CCM+E VP/Mkt. Mgr. STU HASKELL. "I could not be more proud of the hard work put forth by these guys, each and every day," said OM BRAD HANSEN adding, "This award is a reflection of their effort and passion for doing what they love in this great community."
Elsewhere in the cluster, Classic Rock KPAW (107.9 THE BEAR) grabbed the awards for Best On-Air Contest for "Petty Thoughts" and Best Station Imaging Campaign.
