    From Radio Insight: After being let go in last week’s company-wide layoffs, Christopher ?Morty? Sampaio is returning to his role as morning show producer and Production Director at Beasley Media Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ Las Vegas. A Beasley spokesperson confirmed the news that was broken on social media by @ShittyRadioJock noting that Morty will return to the station next Monday after word got out to CEO Caroline Beasley that the company had laid off someone battling stage 4 cancer for the past two years. The report stated that Caroline Beasley personally reached out to Sampaio to apologize and reinstate him with full medical benefits. Sampaio was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, along with spots on his liver, and some lymph nodes in 2022 and KKLZ morning co-hosts Mike O?Brian and Carla Rea reopened a GoFundMe to cover his medical costs following his layoff. Morty had been with KKLZ since 2019 after previously holding the same roles at Audacy Hot AC ?Mix 94.1? KMXB from 2010-19. He also spent twelve years at Clear Channel Honolulu. more

Stating that “Live 95.5” needed a jingle package that complimented an Adult CHR station that plays pop hits, the new custom sound and melody includes a 5 note sonic logo “mimicking the name of the station with the right amount of syllables”. KBFF Content Director Dylan Salisbury shouted, “Being a radio nerd, I love jingles. TM knocked it out of the park making us custom jingles for our sonic sound.     From Radio Insight: Sun Broadcasting has expanded the coverage of “Fox Sports FM” 105.9 W290DB Naples/WFSX-HD2 Estero FL by readding 103.3 W277AP Bayshore/Fort Myers to the station on Tuesday. The move ends the two year run of “Rock 103.3” on the frequency. W277AP had been part of the Sports brand until its flip to Rock in March 2022. The station carries the national Fox Sports Radio lineup outside of a 3-5pm show hosted by David Wasson, Miami Dolphins football and Miami Heat basketball. The Sports brand had a 0.2 share in the March 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings, while the Rock format goes out with a 0.7. more
