From Radio Insight: Vanessa ‘V Hale’ has exited middays at Audacy Hot AC “Alice @ 97.3” KLLC San Francisco after three and a half years. Hale joined KLLC in November 2020 and began tracking the same daypart at Hot AC “The New 96.5” WTDY-FM Philadelphia in May 2023. She previously spent seven years at “Amp Radio 103.3” WODS Boston during its entire run as a CHR from 2013 until its flip to Variety Hits in May 2020 with time in middays and afternoons. Hale began her career in Los Angeles as a producer and weekend/fill-in host at “Star 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles and also hosted afternoons at CHR ?Hot 101.7? KHTH Santa Rosa CA. Core artists are listed as including the likes of El Tigres del Norte, Selena, Marcos Antonio Solis, and Vicente Fern?ndez. 99.3 KOKE-FM Thorndale becomes “Mexican?sima 99.3“. Positioning as “Rolotos y Diversi?n,” which translates to “Roots and Fun”, the station is featuring artists including Incotable, Los ?ngeles Azules, Banda MS, Alejandro Fernandez, Juli?n ?lvarez, and Christian Nodal. 1260 KTAE Elgin/101.9 K270CO Round Rock completes the trio of new launches with a move to Spanish Classic Hits “Magia 101.9“. KTAE is positioning as “80s, 90s y m?s” with core artists including Man?, Franco de Vita, Juanes, Alejandra Guzm?n, and Luis Miguel. The three new brands join Norsan’s existing duo of Regional Mexican ?La Raza? on 104.9 KTXX-FM and 1530 KZNX Creedmoor/95.1 K236AY Westlake Hills and Spanish AC ?Romantica 105.3? K287FG/KTXX-HD4. From Radio Insight: Flinn Broadcasting has found a new LMA partner for 1240 WMSO Southaven MS/104.1 W281BR Memphis TN as Regional Mexican “El Gallo” flipped to a mix of Southern Soul, Blues and R&B as “Power 104.1 The Source“. The new brand is being operated by local event promoter Lamonte Cunningham’s ER Entertainment. It is planning to emphasize local artists with early spotlights going to performers King George, Marcellus, and Sir Charles. WMSO/W281BR had flipped from R&B/Gospel ?WAVN The Trend? to ?El Gallo 104.1? via an LMA to Steven Lara?s Gorilla Broadcasting last November. Gorilla also leases 107.1 KRQN Vinton/Cedar Rapids IA from Flinn and continues to operate “El Gallo” branded stations there and in multiple markets in Georgia and the Carolinas. more
